I would have never thought before I held our oldest daughter that the professional woman who wanted a career changed in that instant to wanting nothing more than to do laundry, change diapers, and hear “I love you, Mommy.” More important than being a Mom is being a child of God. My relationship with God is the foundation for my life. It is important for me to spend time with the Lord, daily reading the Bible and spending time in prayer.I am the wife to Dave. We have been married for 27 years and have had some wonderful moments and some really rough ones. Through it all, we have stayed committed to our God, each other, and our family. I also enjoy raising puppies for Leader Dogs for the Blind. I am currently raising puppy #4, Millie. She adds much joy, challenge, and adventure to my life. She is my constant companion and has kept me company while Dave is away on business and all our daughters are away at college. I choose to look at this time of my life as a new chapter, not an empty nest. Every time the girls are home, I have the opportunity to spoil them, love them, and make new memories. As I have reflected over my journey as a Mom, I have come to see that there are many seasons we have gone through. The seasons of Motherhood that I have experienced are not meant to be stored in a box hoping someone will ask me the right question in order for me to share. Rather, God has brought me through many seasons so I can take what I have learned and share them with others along the way, even if you don’t ask me the right question. Follow me on the adventure of a new chapter. It is hard to tell where I will travel, what fun adventures I will get myself into, or what amazing opportunities will arise. Let me share with you what God has taught me through the various seasons of motherhood. Through my past experiences and the new chapters God has for me, let’s learn together. I will keep growing through my new chapter and you can learn from the chapters that have been written in my past. Together, we will let God WRITE the next chapter of our lives, so we can be busy LIVING them. Share this:PrintFacebookLinkedInTwitterPinterest
